Nanotechnology
About Course
This Nanotechnology Internship is a high-tech, multidisciplinary program designed to introduce students to the unique physical and chemical properties of matter at the nanoscale ($10^{-9}$ meters). Participants will develop specialized expertise in the “top-down” and “bottom-up” synthesis of nanomaterials, gaining hands-on experience in producing metallic nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and nanocomposites. The curriculum focuses heavily on advanced characterization techniques, providing theoretical and practical exposure to high-resolution imaging tools such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), alongside X-ray Diffraction (XRD) for structural analysis. By exploring cutting-edge applications in nanomedicine, targeted drug delivery, and nano-biosensors, the program equips interns with the precision and technical rigor necessary for careers in materials science, semiconductor manufacturing, and advanced biomedical engineering.
